President Prabowo Formally Sworn In A Number Of Ministerial Officials

On Tuesday, October 22, President Prabowo Subianto officially appointed several state officials to lead various national institutions.

- Aris Marsudiyanto has been named the Head of the Agency for Development Control and Special Investigations.

- Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad and Kaharuddin Djenod Daeng Manyambeang will serve as the Head and Deputy Head of the Agency for Investment Management of Daya Anagata Nusantara, respectively.

- Moch. Irfan Yusuf and Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak have been appointed as the Head and Deputy Head of the Hajj Organizing Agency.

- Budiman Sudjatmiko will lead the Agency for Accelerating Poverty Alleviation, with Nanik Sudaryati Deyang as Deputy I and Iwan Sumule as Deputy II.

- Haikal Hassan and Afriansyah Noor have been designated as the Head and Deputy Head of the Agency for Halal Product Assurance.

- Tubagus Ace Hasan Syadzily has been appointed as the Governor of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia.

- Lodewyk Pusung will serve as the Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency.


Additionally, the President appointed five officials to ministerial positions:

- Sanitiar Burhanuddin as the Attorney General

- Muhammad Herindra as the Head of the National Intelligence Agency

- M Putranto as the Chief of the Presidential Staff

- Hasan Nasbi as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office

- Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan as the Chairman of the National Economic Council.


Among these appointments, Sunarto, who previously served as Deputy Chief Justice for Judicial Affairs, has been elevated to the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA). His election was confirmed during a special plenary session on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, where he received 30 out of 44 votes. Sunarto will serve a term from 2024 to 2029, succeeding the retired former Chief Justice, Syarifuddin.
