Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati reported that the State Budget (APBN) until February 28, 2025 had a deficit of IDR 31.2 trillion. The realization was equivalent to 0.13% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). "There was a deficit of IDR 31.2 trillion for the position at the end of February or 0.13% of GDP," said Sri Mulyani in the APBN KiTA press conference at her office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (3/13/2025). Sri Mulyani said that the APBN deficit at the beginning of the year was still within the target design of the 2025 APBN which was targeted to have a deficit of IDR 616.2 trillion or 2.53% of GDP. "I remind you again that the APBN was designed with a deficit of IDR 616.2 trillion, so a deficit of 0.13% is still within the target design of the APBN of 2.53% of GDP," she added. This APBN deficit means that income is smaller than the amount of government spending. Even so, in terms of primary balance, a surplus of IDR 48.1 trillion was recorded. In more detail, state revenues until February 2025 were collected at IDR 316.9 trillion or 10.5% of the APBN. The revenue came from taxes, customs, and non-tax state revenues (PNBP). Meanwhile, state spending reached IDR 348.1 trillion or 9.6% of the APBN. This state spending consists of central government spending, namely K/L spending and non-K/L spending, as well as transfers to regions. "State spending is IDR 348.1 trillion or 9.6% of the total spending that will be budgeted this year has been realized," he added.
