Prabowo Hosts Lunch With Shoigu At Merdeka Palace In Jakarta

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei ?. Shoigu and the delegation enjoyed lunch together at the Presidential Lounge, Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday. 

The Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat informed that this moment confirmed the close relationship between the two countries in creating regional stability and mutually beneficial strategic cooperation. 

"This visit also confirms the commitment of Indonesia and Russia in strengthening strategic partnerships, especially in the field of security and defense, as well as opening wider opportunities for future cooperation," as quoted from the press release of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta. 

Previously, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Nasir who was also present at the meeting said that the meeting between President Prabowo and Sergei K. Shoigu discussed various aspects, especially economic, security, and defense affairs. 

"The President will receive the Secretary of the Russian Security Council on a courtesy call, discussing various aspects, especially economic, security, and defense affairs," said Arrmanatha. 

Previously, President Prabowo received a courtesy call from the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei K. Shoigu at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, at around 12.30 WIB. 

Sergei Shoigu and his delegation arrived at the Merdeka Palace yard and were greeted with a line of honor along with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto. 

President Prabowo then welcomed Sergei Shoigu in the Merdeka Palace foyer, before heading together to the Credentials Room. 

In the Credentials Room, President Prabowo and Sergei Shoigu shook hands and had a photo session together. After that, the two made a courtesy call in the President's office, where they discussed various strategic issues related to bilateral relations and regional security. 

After the meeting, President Prabowo and Sergei Shoigu then introduced the delegations from each country. 

Also accompanying President Prabowo at the meeting were Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Head of BIN M. Herindra, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir, and Head of the Defense Facilities Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Yusuf Jauhari.
