ItamaRanoraya Promotes Nutritional Equality Through Nutrition Kitchen Installation In Hospitals

Tuesday, 02 Jul 2024

Since the end of 2023, PT ItamaRanorayaTbk ("IRRA"), a company engaged in providing high-tech medical equipment and supplies, has been working on distributing nutrition facilities by installing kitchen sets or nutrition kitchens in hospitals.

This initiative is IRRA's effort to accelerate patient recovery through cleanliness and nutrition provided by the hospital during the food processing process to provide the best service and help the healing process for patients.

"With the provision of nutrition kitchen facilities that meet health standards, we hope to assist hospital staff in improving operational efficiency and time management in the food processing and distribution process to patients in hospitals more optimally.

This is aimed at facilitating the adjustment of patient volumes every day, so that hospital staff are expected to provide standardized food grade nutrition intake to patients," said Heru Firdausi Syarif, President Director of PT ItamaRanorayaTbk.

In providing nutrition kitchen facilities, the Company partners with PT Mega Artha Makro ("MAM") as a manufacturer focusing on commercial kitchen equipment with products that have met the Domestic Content Level (TKDN).

The Company believes that with IRRA's optimal distribution capabilities and the high-quality products produced by MAM at competitive prices in the market, this partnership is believed to provide a holistic output in providing the necessary nutrition facilities for hospitals and healthcare facilities in Indonesia in general.

The nutrition kitchen must have a raw material receiving area for vegetables, fruits, and meat. The cooking area must also be divided according to the needs of the patients, with a portion area for dividing cooked food in large quantities.

Not only that, there should also be a room for food products that will be distributed to patients. To prevent food contamination, the washing area and storage area for cooking and food utensils should also be separated," said Djunaidi, Production Specialist at PT Mega Artha Makro.

Recently, IRRA has just installed a nutrition kitchen at Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung General Hospital ("RSHS"), one of the largest referral hospitals in West Java. With a vision to become a center of excellence in healthcare, education, and research in Indonesia, RSHS has a reputation and public trust in the services and facilities provided.

Through collaboration with RSHS, IRRA hopes to be a major contributor in realizing the hospital's vision through the installation of a good nutrition kitchen, so that the quality of service and facilities in processing patient food, daily operational efficiency of hospital staff, and the quality of life of patients at RSHS can be improved.

The company understands that the biggest challenge faced is the lack of public awareness of the need for nutrition installations to support the needs of patients and hospital workers.
