President Prabowo: ASEAN Must Be United To Be Taken Seriously

President Prabowo Subianto, during his meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, emphasized the necessity of solid unity among ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member states. He stated that such unity would enhance the influence of ASEAN nations on the global stage.

"Only through unity among ASEAN countries and effective collaboration can our voices be amplified. We will be taken more seriously by the larger powers that overshadow us," Prabowo remarked. "If united, ASEAN represents over 600 million people, comparable to the European Union. The entire world recognizes Southeast Asia as a region of growth," he added.

Furthermore, he highlighted that cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia would foster a unique and special relationship between the two nations. "Indonesia and Malaysia must work closely together," Prabowo asserted.
