Prabowo made this statement during his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday, January 25. The discussion between the two leaders focused on various strategic issues, including ways to expand and enhance cooperation between their nations. "We had a very intensive and candid discussion between Prime Minister Modi and his administration, as well as with myself and my government team," Prabowo remarked. He elaborated that he and Modi addressed numerous key sectors of mutual interest and reached an agreement to bolster collaboration between the two countries. "I have instructed my team to expedite processes, reduce bureaucracy, eliminate excessive regulations, and prioritize our shared bilateral interests between India and Indonesia. I will continue to provide the same directives that we must accelerate and enhance economic cooperation with India," he emphasized. Furthermore, Prabowo indicated that if necessary, his administration would prioritize long-term bilateral relations and cooperation with India, a consensus that has been mutually agreed upon. He also expressed gratitude to India for its support of Indonesia's permanent membership in BRICS, asserting that BRICS will contribute positively to global stability and regional cooperation. During this occasion, both leaders witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two nations across various sectors. "In our discussions regarding trade, investment, tourism, health, energy, security cooperation, artificial intelligence, digital IT, and energy, we agreed to strengthen our collaboration in these areas," Prabowo stated.
