Social Bella, a leading beauty-tech company in Indonesia, is excited to launch the Beauty Idea Lab, a competition aimed at discovering and supporting early-stage beauty brands to bring their innovative business ideas to life. This initiative is organized by Beauty Journal, the media arm of Social Bella that focuses on education and literacy for the Indonesian beauty community. Through Beauty Journal, the program aims to provide a platform for brand founders to receive the support they need to thrive in the beauty industry. In running the Beauty Idea Lab, Social Bella has teamed up with PT. Meiyume Manufacturing Indonesia (Meiyume), a top manufacturing company specializing in end-to-end beauty product solutions, from design and development to production and distribution. By combining the expertise and strong business ecosystem of both organizations, Beauty Idea Lab offers a unique opportunity for newcomers in the beauty sector. Selected participants will embark on a transformative journey specifically designed to help them scale their businesses. Christopher Madiam, CEO & Co-founder of Social Bella, shared that Beauty Idea Lab is part of the company's commitment to advancing the industry. “For over nine years, we’ve built Social Bella and supported many early-stage brands that have now become national players and market leaders. The innovations from these brands have even set new standards in the industry today. From our experience, we see tremendous potential in the growing number of emerging brands. With the right platform like Beauty Idea Lab, we believe these brands can expand their business scale, enhance product quality, and boost their competitiveness in the market.” Christopher Chia, the Senior Vice President of APAC at PT. The products from the top three winners will be produced by Meiyume and distributed by Sociolla, helping them achieve their dreams while setting new standards in the beauty industry. We can’t wait to see the creativity and passion from the future leaders of the beauty industry as they work towards a smarter and more sustainable future.” The three main winners of the Beauty Idea Lab will share a total prize of Rp1.32 billion, which includes Rp120 million in cash and Rp1.2 billion in business development support, featuring marketing assistance from Sociolla and production support from Meiyume. “The Beauty Idea Lab is a concrete step to foster the growth of new brands while expanding the educational impact that has long been our focus in the beauty community. We hope this program acts as a catalyst to help brand founders reach their full potential and thrive in the ever-evolving beauty world,” concluded Christopher Madiam.
