PTPN III (Persero) Sub Holding Plantation, together with state-owned enterprises, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV PalmCo, provided stimulus to hundreds of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in North Sumatra by organizing the Nusantara Culinary Exploration Bazaar in Medan. The event, which lasted for three days from May 31st to June 2nd, recorded more than 4,500 transactions with a transaction value of nearly half a billion Rupiah. In a written statement, the Director of Institutional Relations of PTPN IV PalmCo, IrwanPerangin-angin, stated that the bazaar, which showcased dozens of local Nusantara menus from local MSMEs, is a real commitment and contribution from state-owned enterprises in supporting small culinary businesses. "Our hope is that our MSME friends can level up," said Irwan. "With the Nusantara Culinary Exploration, a collaboration between state-owned enterprises supported by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, we hope this can be a positive stimulus for everyone," he added. The Nusantara Culinary Exploration event, with the theme "Your Culinary Adventure Starts Here," is a synergy of several state-owned companies (consisting of PTPN Group, Bank Syariah Indonesia, PT KAI, PT Pos Indonesia, PT Inalum, and PT Bukit Asam) and presents more than 80 authentic Nusantara dishes. "We believe that with the unique taste of Nusantara, it can create an unforgettable culinary experience for visitors and increase awareness and interest in shopping for MSME products through the Digital MSME Market (PaDi)," said Irwan. During the JKN Bazaar, a total of 4,543 transactions were recorded, with 4,508 Pre-Order PaDi transactions worth Rp 414 million, and 16 Retail and Buyer Group PO transactions worth Rp 5 million. The Medan JKN event is the second one after a similar event was held in Bandung from May 24th to 26th, 2024. These MSMEs are part of the commitment and consistency of state-owned enterprises in enhancing the important role of MSMEs, which are the backbone of the national economy, through significant contributions to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employment. JKN actively involves UMKM supported by Rumah BUMN from each organizing state-owned company. "Rumah BUMN is a platform for UMKM entrepreneurs who are nurtured by state-owned companies to facilitate their growth, starting from receiving training, mentoring, and fulfilling business legality. This includes the JKN Bazaar event, which is able to attract consumers and stimulate their growth," he added. In addition to enjoying various unique Indonesian dishes, visitors are also treated to various music performances by national artists Idgitaf and StevanPasaribu, traditional Batak Karo music performance called Kulcapi by Jacky Sembiring. There are also live cooking demonstrations by Yulita, Master Chef Indonesia Season 5, Barista Competition, Cosplay Exhibition, and Expert Talk Talkshow by National Entrepreneur GufronSyarif, CEO & Founder of Haus Indonesia.
