In-Lite collaborates with visual artists to equip art enthusiasts with knowledge and skills in using light effectively as a medium in art. This activity aims to deepen understanding of the connection between light and art, as well as to encourage innovation and creativity for the community. At this event, in-Lite shared some interesting tips on using lights as a medium for painting. Let's check it out together! Understanding the Crucial Role of Lighting in the Artistic Process In addition to being commonly found in the property and home decoration sectors, lighting also plays an important role in the artistic process. Light not only helps artists see the details of their work clearly, but also supports them in creating the atmosphere and mood of their own work. With the right lighting, artists can highlight the details, colors, and textures they desire, while also helping to reduce eye strain, allowing artists to work longer and more focused. FransiskaDarmawan, General Manager Marketing at in-Lite LED, also emphasized the importance of lighting aspects in the artistic journey of artists and real support in the Jakarta PROVOKE! 2024 event. "in-Lite collaborates with artists and curators at Jakarta PROVOKE! 2024 to optimize their artworks to the next level. Together with Ve and Eko Banding, we hope that this collaboration can expand the meaning of lighting for the diverse needs of the community. Not only bringing benefits to homeowners, but artists can also make lighting aspects as an added value to their work." Choose the Right Lighting Technique and Lamp Type Mastering light is like mastering a new musical instrument for visual artists. Not only techniques and imagination, lighting plays a crucial role in creating stunning works. Three common techniques often used are general lighting, the main source of lighting that displays the entire work clearly. Backlighting, light from behind the object that produces dramatic silhouette effects and adds dimension, and installation lighting, where light becomes an integral part of the artwork itself. Artists can choose suitable lamps, such as spotlights for highlighting specific areas, floodlights for large areas, or neonflex which is a dotless flexible strip light that can be cut according to flexible needs. By combining these techniques and lamps, artists can experiment and find their own unique lighting style. Choosing the Right Colors to Paint Emotions and Messages The selection of light colors depends heavily on the theme, mood, medium, and location of the artwork, both indoors and outdoors. For works with a joyful mood, artists can use bright and even white or pastel-colored general lighting to create a positive atmosphere.
