Online Fashion Shopping Trend On Tokopedia&ShopTokopedia Surges In The First Half Of 2024

The online shopping trend for fashion products on Tokopedia and ShopTokopedia continues to rise. According to Antonia Adega, the Communications Senior Lead at Tokopedia and ShopTokopedia, there has been an increase in fashion product transactions during the first semester of 2024. This growth is driven by various campaigns related to fashion products on both platforms, such as Monday Tuesday Stylish, Buy Local, Promo Guncang, and many more.

Specifically for fashion products, the best-selling items on Tokopedia include: Muslim dresses, worship accessories, women's outwear, Muslim tops (blouses, tunics, and cuffs), and men's Muslim clothing (koko shirts, sarong pants), with an average increase in transaction volume of almost 2 times. As for bags, the most popular items on Tokopedia include: sling bags, tote bags, shoulder bags, wallets, and backpacks.

On the other hand, the best-selling fashion products on ShopTokopedia include: women's skirts, men's shorts, women's sleepwear, hijabs, and knitwear, with an average increase in transaction volume of almost 2 times. The most popular bags on ShopTokopedia include: shopping bags, make-up bags, wallets, backpacks, and tote bags.

Customers can find various types of fashion products, including bags, from a range of local brands from Bandung, such as Elizabeth and Flashy.

Having been around for 6 decades, Elizabeth continues to utilize Tokopedia and ShopTokopedia. Elizabeth, a legendary local fashion brand from Bandung, West Java, was founded with an initial capital of Rp10,000, which was used to buy a sewing machine and a secondhand bicycle for selling door-to-door in 1963 by the couple Elizabeth Halim and HandokoSubali.

The first bag produced was a travel bag. The product was very satisfying, received high demand, and was well received by the market. For more than 6 decades, the pandemic has been one of the toughest challenges Elizabeth has ever faced because Elizabeth's operations were completely closed and sales plummeted drastically. "The presence of digital platforms, such as Tokopedia, has been a lifesaver for the company and has even multiplied Elizabeth's online sales. As a result, we have managed to retain all employees," added Resti.

Elizabeth also continues to utilize various campaigns and features of Tokopedia, such as Waktu Indonesia Belanja and Voucher Toko, to boost sales. In addition, Elizabeth is also actively creating promotional content on TikTok to increase sales on ShopTokopedia. "We continue to adapt and be more flexible in utilizing technology to maintain Elizabeth's existence in society," said Resti.
