Plataran Komodo, located in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has recently been awarded the title of “Best For Romance” by the global organization Condé Nast Johansens. This recognition places Plataran Komodo in the category of the most romantic resorts across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Maldives, and Oceania. Yozua Makes, the CEO of Plataran Indonesia, noted that a significant portion of the guests at Plataran Komodo are couples and families. "Approximately 85 percent of our international market consists of foreign visitors, with around 60 percent being couples," Makes stated during a press conference held at Hutan Kota by Plataran Jakarta on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The majority of the foreign tourists at Plataran Komodo come from Europe and the United States, with visitors from France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Italy being particularly prominent. "European guests make up a significant portion of our clientele," Makes added.

He further explained that the average length of stay for guests at Plataran Komodo is two nights, with many opting to remain at the resort to take advantage of the various amenities offered. The peak visitation period occurs from April to September each year.

"This timeframe corresponds with the sailing season; however, we strive to educate our guests that Labuan Bajo offers attractions beyond sailing, making it a year-round destination," he emphasized.

To enhance the visitor experience, Plataran Komodo has introduced programs that facilitate visits to nearby tourist villages. Guests interested in immersing themselves in local culture can explore villages located 30 to 40 minutes from the resort. "This approach ensures that Labuan Bajo is recognized not merely as a seasonal destination, but as a year-round attraction," he concluded.
