In order to achieve its mission of "Educate and create wealth for community through unique and professional investment experience," PT TrimegahSekuritas Indonesia Tbk (Trimegah) has established a partnership with the Alumni Association of the School of Business and Management at Bandung Institute of Technology (IA SBM-ITB). This strategic collaboration also supports one of IA SBM-ITB's missions, which is to promote lifelong learning.

During the kick-off event of this partnership held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, PhilmonTanuri and David Agus, respectively the President Director and Director of Trimegah, as well as NovrizalPratama and WildanKesuma, respectively the Chairman and Secretary General of IA SBM-ITB, were present.

"The main focus of this collaboration is to provide education and literacy in the capital market for IA SBM-ITB members. In this partnership, Trimegah will also support various other activities carried out by IA SBM-ITB to have a positive impact on its members, alma mater, and the wider community. This further emphasizes Trimegah's commitment to enhancing education and literacy in the Indonesian capital market for all segments of society," said PhilmonTanuri in his official statement on Thursday, June 6.

According to data from the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), the number of capital market investors reached 12.17 million in December 2023, an increase of 18.01% from 10.31 million in 2022. Despite the increase in the number of investors, the level of literacy and inclusion in the capital market is still relatively low. Based on the 2022 National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the financial literacy rate in the capital market is only 4.11%, and the financial inclusion rate in the capital market is 5.19%.

Therefore, the collaborative initiative among business players in the financial sector is crucial. By implementing structured and sustainable capital market education and literacy programs, it is hoped that more people will understand and take advantage of investment opportunities in the capital market, thus increasing the sector's contribution to the national economy.

Investment literacy and education activities are also carried out to support the launch of the TrimegahBaktiGanesha Abadi endowment mutual fund product, which will provide positive benefits for the education process at ITB alma mater.

"IA SBM-ITB is one of the largest business student alumni associations in Indonesia, overseeing SBM-ITB alumni spread throughout Indonesia. We believe that collaboration with Trimegah, starting today, can support our vision to become the best business school alumni organization in Southeast Asia," added Trimegah Director Novrizal.

IA SBM-ITB has a mission to enhance networking among alumni, promote sustainable technology development, and realize lifelong learning. The achievement of this mission is consistently carried out through the 3C Program (Create, Connect, and Collaborate), which is the main agenda of IA SBM-ITB.
