Gemini Introduces An AI-based Image Generator For All Users

Friday, 11 Oct 2024

Google has introduced open access to all users of its generative artificial intelligence service, Gemini, allowing them to experience its latest image generator, Imagen 3, which is promised to be more efficient in processing prompt details.

"Imagen 3 is our highest quality image generation model, offering a greater level of photorealism, improved instruction adherence, and fewer disruptions compared to previous generations," stated Google via its X account @GeminiApp, as reported on Thursday.

In greater detail, Imagen 3 within Gemini supports a variety of styles for the generated images, ranging from classic oil painting techniques to modern digital art.

Some of the enhancements in Imagen 3 include sharper image details, more vibrant colors, and a reduction in errors encountered with this image generator.

The open access to Imagen 3 via Gemini has been widely launched for global users, including those who do not subscribe to the paid Gemini package.

In contrast to several other AI image generators from competitors, Imagen 3 produces only one image per prompt.

This characteristic may be perceived as either advantageous or disadvantageous; on the positive side, each prompt can be processed in detail with minimal distractions.

Conversely, the downside is that users may not have the option to select multiple variations of the image results they wish to share.

When utilizing Imagen 3, users will receive images with a resolution of 2048x2048.
