PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo (JIP) is dedicated to empowering future generations with knowledge and skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This commitment is exemplified by JIP's provision of training in citizen journalism and educational content creation to hundreds of students at SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta Selatan on Wednesday, September 25, representing Generation Z. Aji Rizqi Yodhana, the General Manager of Corporate Secretary at Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo, stated that this initiative is a collaborative effort involving PT JIP, Warta Kota Mengajar, and the Education Office of DKI Jakarta Province. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage the younger generation not only to be consumers of information but also to take an active role as creators of positive and educational content. We believe that the youth play a crucial role in realizing a more organized and modern Jakarta, Aji stated in a press release quoted on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The activity is intended to contribute to the realization of a modern Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta, which is aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Additionally, it aims to equip students with skills in video production, creative content creation, and a smart understanding of social media culture that is resistant to misinformation. "This training is expected to not only impart new knowledge to the participants but also prepare them to face the challenges of the dynamic digital job market," he added. Participants were also introduced to the information and communication technology and telecommunications services provided, which include telecommunications towers, out-of-home digital signage, and free internet provision by JIP to support the provincial government's program aimed at delivering internet services through the Supporting Facilities for Telecommunication Infrastructure in Rusunawa. Additionally, the urban infrastructure is being organized through the Integrated Utility Network Facilities (SJUT) program, which plays a strategic role in enhancing and modernizing Jakarta sustainably. "We greatly appreciate PT JIP's initiative to involve our students in activities closely related to the current digital landscape. Training like this not only broadens the participants' knowledge but also prepares students to face an increasingly digital and innovative job market," stated Mucklis M. Pd, Principal of SMAN 3 South Jakarta. To encourage active youth participation in urban development, JIP also organized an Instagram Reels Challenge themed 'Youth Aspirations for a Progressive and Global Jakarta.' Through this challenge, participants are invited to express their hopes and ideas on how Jakarta can evolve into a more advanced, modern, and environmentally friendly city through the creative content they produce. The Head of the Education Office of DKI Jakarta Province, Purwosusilo, expressed his hope that programs of this nature will be integrated into the curriculum to enhance students' digital skills. "The younger generation must be adequately prepared to contribute positively to the development of a modern and sustainable Jakarta, which is recognized as a Global City," he stated.
