BCA Bank continues its series of "BCA Sharing Knowledge" activities in several cities, including Bali. This time, more than 600 students from Udayana University attended a public lecture with the theme "Be Relevant in the Midst of Technology Disruption & Social Changes" delivered by BCA Director Santoso at the Widya Sabha Auditorium UNUD on Monday (3/6).

"BCA Sharing Knowledge" is BCA's commitment to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the aspect of Quality Education. Through this "BCA Sharing Knowledge" activity, it is also expected to help prepare quality and competitive young generations to face the demographic bonus peak in 2030. This program is one of BCA's flagship programs under the Education pillar.

BCA Director Santoso stated, "In a dynamic world, human relevance is measured by their ability to adapt and create added value. Humans need to have an adaptive attitude and be able to see opportunities keenly in order to remain relevant amidst technological disruption and social changes. The existing opportunities can be seen as a chance for humans to continuously move forward, utilizing technology to create innovations for a better life."

In this public lecture session, students are invited to understand how technology has changed various aspects of life and how we interact. Santoso also emphasizes the importance of soft skills such as creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in facing rapid changes. In addition, Santoso also presents the innovations carried out by BCA in response to these changes.

"Technology is not a substitute for humans, but a tool that can be utilized by humans to become partners in expanding capabilities. In order to remain relevant amidst technological disruption and social changes, BCA also continues to innovate and adapt quickly. We believe that by harnessing technology, we can provide the best service to our customers and society. An example of this is how BCA expanded ATM access throughout Indonesia and launched the BCA Mobile and MyBCA applications as proof that BCA is adapting well in this era of technological advancement," said Santoso.

The "BCA BerbagiIlmu" program, held to commemorate National Education Day, organized public lectures at 5 universities: BINUS University, Diponegoro University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sriwijaya University, and Udayana University.

In addition, the "BCA BerbagiIlmu" program also included the Student Banking Tour, which invited high school students and college students to learn about banking and financial literacy while visiting BCA branch offices. There was also an empowerment program for people with disabilities called "I'm Capable".

In 2023, the series of public lectures "BCA BerbagiIlmu" will be held at 5 universities in Indonesia and attended by more than 3,000 students. Meanwhile, the Student Banking Tour was attended by more than 900 students from 18 schools. Lastly, around 30 people with disabilities were empowered through skills training, art bazaars, and visits to BCA branch offices.

BCA's EVP Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn, said, "BCA BerbagiIlmu under the umbrella of Bakti BCA is our support to the younger generation to become excellent human resources and contribute to the Indonesian economy.

Moreover, according to BPS, Indonesia is estimated to enter the demographic bonus period, with the peak period until 2030, as indicated by the number of productive-age population being twice the number of children and elderly population. We believe that the best investment for this young generation is education, which is why Bakti BCA is committed to continuously facilitating them in various forms of support.
