As a leading digital telecommunications provider in Indonesia, Telkomsel is committed to playing a key role in supporting government initiatives, including the successful celebration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day with the theme "Nusantara Baru Indonesia Maju," set to take place on August 17 in the new capital, Nusantara (IKN). They are ensuring robust telecommunications services and network readiness for the event. To enhance communication services in IKN, Telkomsel has rolled out 49 state-of-the-art 5G and 4G Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) in the area, including the Core Government Center (KIPP) and surrounding regions. They've also optimized connectivity for customers entering IKN by improving the network in the two supporting cities, Balikpapan and Samarinda. This effort covers 10 key areas such as the airport, shopping centers, accommodations, and main roads linking the two cities to IKN. Indra Mardiatna, Telkomsel's Network Director, stated, "By ensuring the optimization of our leading broadband network, we are dedicated to providing seamless communication access in the new capital and supporting digital transformation across various sectors, all while working towards making IKN a sustainable smart city powered by future technologies." This initiative aligns with Telkomsel's vision and mission to deliver top-notch services that empower communities and assist the government in equitable development and infrastructure provision, driving sustainable economic growth in Indonesia. Additionally, to facilitate smooth communication and enhance digital experiences, Telkomsel has prepared a variety of digital products and services, including customer service centers, with booths located at the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport and the GraPARI Nusantara situated in the Construction Worker Housing (HPK) in IKN. The customer service center offers a bunch of services like buying data packages, getting physical vouchers, topping up credit, purchasing prepaid SIM cards and eSIMs, replacing lost or damaged cards, upgrading to 4G/LTE uSIM cards, signing up new Telkomsel Halo (postpaid) customers, buying Orbit modems, and IndiHome services. You can also exchange Telkomsel Points, activate 5G networks, and access other Telkomsel products and services designed to make it easier for all customers to meet their communication needs.
