Google Play X Unity 2025 Updates Curriculum Involving AI

The training program organized by Google Indonesia with the Unity game engine platform has updated the curriculum for the third year of training by involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) content. 

"We want to ensure that in this AI era, developers will use the latest AI technology, they will know how to use it to increase creativity and innovation, so we want to install it as part of the training module," said Vice President, Platforms & Devices Partnership Asia Pacific Karen Teo at the opening of Google Play x Unity Training 2025 in Jakarta, Monday. 

2025 will be the first year of integrating AI content from Google into the learning experience, ensuring that participants are equipped with the latest AI skills for game development. 

In addition to the AI ??module, Google Indonesia also provides career development opportunities by providing access to internship opportunities with companies involved in the game industry, in collaboration with the Indonesian Game Association for participants of the 2024 class. 

"This improvement is our part to improve developers with their ability to run successful games and run their own careers," said Karen. 

With the support of associations and the government in this case the Ministry of Creative Economy, Karen said she would try to equip more local talents with the skills and pathways needed to develop the local game industry. Google Play x Unity 2025 will attract 500 participants from 10 provinces in Indonesia. 

Meanwhile, Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology at the Ministry of Creative Economy Muhammad Neil El Himam said that the collaboration between the government and the technology industry, especially games, would open up many jobs and quality digital talents. 

He also hopes that there will be no limits to creativity and can be followed from all over Indonesia so that it can become a new engine of economic growth. 

"In this collaboration, the hope is to create quality jobs, the number of workers in the creative economy is very large and to be quality, a model like Google Play x Unity Training is needed," he said.
