Google is adding a new feature to its artificial intelligence (AI)-based virtual assistant Gemini, allowing users to ask questions using videos and content on their device screens in real time. As reported by Tech Crunch on Tuesday, Google introduced a new feature called "Screenshare" at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 event in Barcelona, ??Spain, which allows users to share their phone screen with Gemini and ask questions to the virtual assistant regarding the content displayed on the screen. For example, Google uploaded a demonstration video showing a user shopping for a pair of loose jeans and asking Gemini about other clothes that would go well with them. For the video search feature, Google previously revealed this plan at last year's Google I/O event. This feature allows users to record videos and ask Gemini questions while recording. Google announced that these features will be rolled out to Gemini Advanced users who subscribe to Google One AI Premium on Android devices starting later this month.
