Friday, 28 Feb 2025

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in the digital transformation process.

"There is no successful digital transformation without including Cyber ??Security in it. This has been proven in several cases," said Nezar at the launch of the IC4 platform, in Jakarta, Tuesday (25/2/2025).

According to him, digital transformation connects a number of critical infrastructures, or critical information infrastructures that must be protected. For this reason, awareness of cybersecurity is very important.

"The government has also determined that cybersecurity is one of the main priorities in national digital development," he added.

He also invited the public to build awareness in maintaining data security. Although he admitted that maintaining cybersecurity is not easy because the challenges are very complex.

"How to raise awareness in the community to start getting used to maintaining what is called data security. Our experience with PDNS attacks also started from careless end users," explained Nezar.

In addition to the regulatory side, according to him, maintaining cyber security must be accompanied by active participation from all parties, as well as collaboration from all stakeholders in the national digital ecosystem.

"Finally, I hope that the Indonesia Cyber ??Prime Combat Center can become the main pillar in protecting Indonesia's cyberspace and provide real benefits for all of us to realize a safe, comfortable and productive digital space," he concluded.

As previously reported, Digital Forensic Indonesia inaugurated the Indonesia Cyber ??Crime Combat Center (IC4) platform, which has various features to deal with cyber fraud.

IC4 can be accessed via its official website or via an application on a cellphone, which is available for Android and iOS. One of the features that can be used is checking fraudulent messages.
