Infinix Hot 50 Pro Review: Slim Design At An Affordable Price

Tuesday, 04 Feb 2025

Nearly a month after the release of the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus in Indonesia, Infinix has introduced the Hot 50 Pro. The primary distinction lies in the body design, with the Plus variant featuring a slimmer profile of 6.8 mm.

However, this does not imply that the Hot 50 Pro is bulky; with a thickness of 7.4 mm and a weight of 190 grams, this device remains both slim and lightweight. Infinix has indeed prioritized a stylish design for this smartphone.

What about its performance? Let us delve into the following review.

Design

As previously mentioned, the Hot 50 Pro has a thickness of 7.4 mm and weighs 190 grams. It is lightweight and convenient for one-handed use. The edges and back cover exhibit a flat design, complemented by slight curves at the corners to avoid sharpness.

The rear is adorned with three vertically arranged cameras. The variant we tested is in Sleek Black. The back panel exudes a premium feel, featuring a slightly textured surface that enhances grip.

The materials used for the back and frame are solid, finished with a matte coating to enhance its premium appearance. Additionally, the device boasts an IP54 certification, indicating resistance to dust and splashes of water.

Display and Features

The Hot 50 Pro is equipped with an AMOLED display that achieves a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits. The use of an AMOLED panel allows for a more vibrant color representation compared to LCD panels.

Furthermore, the 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth animation display. For outdoor use under direct sunlight, the brightness level remains commendable, especially with the High Brightness Mode that guarantees visibility even in extremely bright conditions.

The Hot 50 Pro operates on the XOS 14.5 interface, which is based on Android 14. The interface is visually appealing, featuring square-shaped icons. Additionally, the display includes a Dynamic Bar to showcase important information and notifications at the top of the screen.
