Financial Companies Must Enhance Data Security In The Digital Age

Tuesday, 21 Jan 2025

The digital era is continuously evolving, necessitating that companies prioritize and commit to enhancing data protection.

One such company, PrismaLink, a payment gateway service provider in Indonesia, has officially obtained ISO 27001 certification.

ISO 27001 is an international standard that governs information security management systems, ensuring optimal data protection against both internal and external threats. This certification is designed to assist organizations in managing information security risks through a systematic approach.

"This certification represents our commitment to safeguarding customer data, including financial information, from various threats. With ISO 27001, PrismaLink is better equipped to offer secure, reliable, and trustworthy payment gateway services," stated PrismaLink's CEO, Laksono, in a written statement on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

The ISO 27001 certification process, achieved in November 2024, involved a comprehensive assessment of risk management, staff training, and data access controls. PrismaLink successfully met all requirements, including adequate support in human resources, technology, and finance.

All management and employees at PrismaLink are dedicated to ensuring business continuity by protecting critical information such as customer data, financial records, IT configurations, and partner data. This protection is based on three core principles: Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.

"This achievement reflects a robust process of risk management and information security at PrismaLink. We hope this certification will enhance partner trust, strengthen our reputation, and improve our competitiveness in the fintech industry," concluded Laksono.
