The Deputy Minister of Industry, Faisol Riza, visited PT Sat Nusapersada in Batam, Riau Islands, on Friday (January 17). During his visit, he observed the production and assembly processes of smartphones at the factory, which collaborates with several global brands.

Faisol stated that Sat Nusapersada demonstrates Indonesia's capability to produce smartphones and hardware for electronic devices. He encouraged global smartphone companies to invest significantly in Indonesia.

"This includes Apple. We have invited Apple to invest in building a smartphone factory in Indonesia," said the Deputy Minister, accompanied by the President Director of PT Sat Nusapersada, Abidin Hasibuan.

Currently, Sat Nusapersada partners with various global brands to manufacture phones for the Indonesian market. All processes, from assembly to packaging, are carried out at the Sat Nusapersada factory, including the latest phone models, Honor and Motorola.

"Compare the companies currently in Indonesia with their partners in other countries like Vietnam, Malaysia, India, or China," the Deputy Minister remarked. Indonesia is seen as competitive in handling all production processes for communication devices like mobile phones.

Faisol added that Sat Nusapersada's years of experience inspire confidence that Indonesia has great potential to develop its telecommunications industry. He urged potential investors not to hesitate in investing in Indonesia.

"As the government, we assure you that there is no need to worry about the potential here, the technology of Indonesian companies, and the available human resources," he concluded.

Wamen Faisol encouraged Sat Nusapersada to enhance production using Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) to compete effectively in the electronics industry.

"This is a great opportunity for SatNusa to quickly embrace and become a company with diverse business lines," said Wamen Faisol.
