Apple Develops New Magic Mouse With Voice Control And Design Enhancements

Wednesday, 08 Jan 2025

Apple is currently developing a new design for the Magic Mouse, which is anticipated to introduce several exciting updates.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the latest iteration of the Magic Mouse will feature a charging port relocated to a more convenient position, replacing the existing port located on the bottom, which is often considered cumbersome.

Additionally, a leak from yeux1122 in Korea indicates that the new Magic Mouse will also support voice commands, a feature that aligns with advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).

The device is expected to be launched in 2026, in line with Gurman's projections.

Gurman further noted that the primary focus of the Magic Mouse's development is on ergonomics and movement, with significant changes such as the repositioning of the charging port to a more practical location, as well as potential updates to the Apple keyboard.

"From what I have heard, there is a strong emphasis on ergonomics and movement (with the USB-C also being relocated). I am also anticipating a new keyboard," wrote @markgurman on platform X, as quoted on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

While this information is intriguing, it is essential to approach the circulating news with caution, considering the possibility of inaccuracies.

Nevertheless, new features such as voice control for devices like mice and keyboards seem increasingly plausible in the current AI era.
