PT LRT has launched the LarataPay application as a digital payment tool for users of the modern train service connecting Velodrome Station with Pegangsaan Dua Station in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Sunday. "This launch coincides with the five-year anniversary of LRT Jakarta's operations, which began on December 1, 2019, and will continue until December 1, 2024," stated Hendri Saputra, the President Director of PT LRT Jakarta, in Jakarta. He noted that the application is the latest feature of the LRTJ Apps, developed in collaboration with Bank DKI. "LarataPay is designed to enhance the convenience and comfort of customers when purchasing LRT Jakarta tickets through digital payments," he explained. According to him, the application is expected to serve as a modern travel solution that will also support various payment transactions in the future. "We hope this application will provide a more comfortable and efficient experience for our customers," he added. LRT Jakarta is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its commercial operations with an event titled "Tasyakuran 5 Tahun Operasi Komersial LRT Jakarta" at Velodrome Station, East Jakarta. This celebration symbolizes the long journey of LRT Jakarta over the past five years and marks a continued commitment to providing modern, comfortable, and inclusive public transportation solutions for the people of Jakarta. "LRT Jakarta is committed to continuously innovating and contributing to the development of a public transportation system that supports urban lifestyles through safe, comfortable, and innovative services," he remarked. He further explained that PT LRT Jakarta is a subsidiary of the Regional State-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), which operates as an environmentally friendly, safe, and comfortable public transportation provider in Jakarta. LRT aims to be the best public mobility solution in Indonesia and is actively working to provide the best service to passengers along a route of 5.8 km from Velodrome (Rawamangun) to Pegangsaan Dua (Kelapa Gading), featuring six elevated stations.
