PT Amartha Mikro Fintek (Amartha), a subsidiary of PT Amartha Nusantara Raya, has announced its plans to acquire PT Bosowa Multi Finance. Andi Taufan Garuda Putra, the Founder and CEO of Amartha, stated that this acquisition of a multifinance company is part of the strategy to expand the business scope while maintaining a strong focus on customer service. "Indeed, multifinance is one of the licenses we aspire to have, allowing us to offer a variety of products and serve diverse segments. Our goal is to enhance our service to them, with a continued emphasis on the end user and our customers," Taufan remarked to Kontan.co.id on Tuesday, November 26. Furthermore, Taufan emphasized the importance of developing products that are relevant to the needs of customers and partners. This initiative is supported by the diversification of business licenses to meet the demands across various segments served by Amartha. However, despite the aspiration to broaden the range of products and licenses, Taufan clarified that Amartha's primary focus remains on the productive segment, in line with the company's mission to support this economic sector. "So, if the question arises whether Amartha intends to enter the consumer loan market, the answer is no. Our focus will remain on the majority of our business, with our revenue primarily derived from productive sectors and industries," he added. Moreover, he assessed that the potential within the productive segment is still substantial. Therefore, Amartha has chosen to concentrate on optimizing opportunities in this area before exploring other markets. I assess that this segment remains substantial before we transition to other segments. We will continue to concentrate on this economic segment, he emphasized. As a point of information, Amartha Nusantara Raya will acquire all shares owned by PT SAM Global Kapital and PT Bosowa Asuransi in PT Bosowa Multi Finance.
