BYOND, in collaboration with BSI, partners with Pinasthikafest to support the strengthening of the creative industry

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) is enhancing its support for Indonesia's creative industry.

In this instance, BSI has partnered with Pinasthikafest, designating BYOND by BSI as the Official Bank Partner for the Pinasthika Creativestival XX.

This initiative represents a significant effort to strengthen the ecosystem within this sector.

Saladin D Effendi, the Director of Information Technology at BSI, stated that the presence of BYOND by BSI at the Pinasthikafest event exemplifies the company's commitment to supporting Indonesia's creative industry through advancements in digital banking.

Saladin noted that many young individuals are increasingly recognizing opportunities in the digital creative industry as content creators, including roles such as animators, graphic designers, web designers, and mobile app designers, among others.

"This serves as a means of penetrating the creative industry, which is currently being promoted by the government. It also aims to introduce BYOND by BSI to creative industry practitioners and students in Indonesia," Saladin remarked.

BSI's strategic efforts align with the government's vision, as articulated by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, which identifies the creative industry as a key driver of Indonesia's future economic development.

Moreover, the added value of the creative economy is projected to reach IDR 1,347 trillion by 2024, with expectations of making a significant contribution to the national GDP.

Saladin explained that through the event scheduled for November 21-22, 2024, at the Innovation and Creativity Arena (GIK) of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta, the company aims to further promote its latest superapp, BYOND by BSI, to a broader audience.

This initiative also seeks to enhance literacy and inclusion in Islamic banking through one of BSI's digital channels.

One of the target markets for BSI in introducing BYOND by BSI is the youth involved in the creative industry.
