PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has reported strong financial performance for 2024, reflecting the company's commitment to advancing national infrastructure. According to the released audited financial statements, Hutama Karya achieved a net profit of Rp 2.7 trillion, marking a 47.7% improvement compared to the previous year. Budi Harto, the President Director of Hutama Karya, noted that the company's revenue also saw a significant increase, reaching Rp 30.3 trillion, which is a 12.4% rise from 2023. The company's EBITDA reached Rp 4.3 trillion, growing by 21.3% from the prior year. In terms of financial position, Hutama Karya's total assets grew by 15.5% to Rp 196 trillion, while the company's equity improved to Rp 138 trillion, an increase of 18.3% from the previous year. Budi explained that the company's equity position was bolstered by an additional State Capital Participation (PMN) of Rp 18.6 trillion, along with accumulated profits from the current and previous years. Hutama Karya secured new contracts worth Rp 34.8 trillion, a 12.8% increase from the previous year. The majority of these contracts are in the Roads and Bridges sector, accounting for 84.4% of the total, or Rp 29.6 trillion, followed by the Water Resources sector at 7.8% or Rp 2.7 trillion, and the Buildings and Transportation Infrastructure sector contributing 5.6% or Rp 1.9 trillion. Other segments made up 2.2% of the new contracts. Budi further detailed that Hutama Karya has also been awarded several projects under the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme, including the Trans Papua Road segment from Jayapura to Wamena through a consortium with HK-HKI, with an investment cost of Rp 3.3 trillion. Additionally, the company was selected as the winner for the KPBU project to develop the Panorama I Flyover (Sitinjau Lauik I) in West Sumatra. Both KPBU projects will utilize the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain, and Transfer (DBFOMT) scheme. To enhance construction performance, the company consistently strengthens its cost control, quality, timing, and integrated governance; improves operational efficiency; and optimizes its focus on championing road and bridge projects as its main revenue portfolio. "In 2024, state-owned enterprise projects accounted for 85 percent of new contracts secured by Hutama Karya, followed by government projects at 11.3 percent and private projects at 3.7 percent," added Budi. The infrastructure projects successfully completed in 2024 include RSIA Sardjito in Yogyakarta, Menara Turyapada, RSIA Ngoerah, and the relayout of RSUP Sanglah in Bali. Hutama Karya also finished the Kobema Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in Bengkulu, the NCICD coastal protection project in Jakarta, the Medan-Binjai railway construction (JLKAMB 2), the Joglo underpass in Surakarta, and the widening and geometric improvement of the Soreang-Rancabali-Cidaun road in Bandung and Cianjur, which will be used for this year's homecoming travel. Additionally, energy sector projects include the Muara Tawar Gas and Steam Power Plant (PLTGU) with a capacity of 650 MW in Bekasi and the Tambak Lorok PLTGU with a capacity of 779 MW in Semarang. In terms of assignments, in 2024, Hutama Karya expanded the JTTS by constructing 83.9 km of toll road, bringing the total length built by the company to 1,043 km. The toll roads inaugurated in 2024 include the Indrapura-Kisaran Section 1 (15.6 km) and the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura Section 1 and part of Section 2 (28 km); the Pekanbaru-Padang Bangkinang-Pangkalan Section Bangkinang-XIII Koto Kampar (24.7 km); the Sigli-Banda Aceh Sections 2, 3, 5, and 6 (35 km); and the Binjai-Pangkalan Brandan Section 2 (19 km). The Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Tebing Tinggi-D section was also inaugurated.
