PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment, allowing employees to contribute fully regardless of gender differences. In line with the policy of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, to support President Prabowo's vision of gender equality, SIG actively encourages female employees to excel and make significant contributions to the company. SIG's commitment to promoting women's roles is evident in its employee demographics. By 2024, SIG Group will have 993 permanent female employees, with 25% of them being top female talents in senior management positions. Although the building materials industry is typically male-dominated, the current Operations Director of SIG is Reni Wulandari, one of SIG's top female talents. This demonstrates that SIG offers career opportunities based on skills rather than gender. Minister Erick Thohir stated that female employees in state-owned enterprises play a crucial role in supporting the ongoing transformation of these companies. "The improvement and transformation of state-owned enterprises can continue with the support of female employees. Since the beginning of my leadership at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, we have ensured a safe and comfortable environment while providing extensive opportunities for women, including creating a workplace free from discrimination and gender-based violence," said Erick Thohir. Agung Wiharto, the Director of HR and General Affairs at SIG, emphasized that SIG is committed to creating a healthy and conducive work environment that allows employees to thrive. The company guarantees equal opportunities in recruitment and career advancement, prioritizing fairness and equality in human resource management. SIG provides support for female employees by addressing their specific needs, such as maternity leave, lactation rooms, menstrual leave, and assistance for those balancing roles as mothers and employees, said Agung Wiharto. The company has also established a community for female employees called 'Srikandi SIG,' which is an extension of 'Srikandi BUMN.' Through this initiative, SIG promotes women's empowerment with training in areas like change management, work management, and planning. “SIG is committed to enhancing the presence of female employees in managerial and strategic positions based on their competencies and performance evaluations. This commitment aligns with the core values of BUMN, which are AKHLAK (Amanah, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative),” Agung Wiharto added.
