Visit The SIG Interlock Brick Model House. The Developer Is Confident About The 3 Million Houses Program

Tuesday, 07 Jan 2025

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is increasingly committed to helping the government achieve its target of 3 million houses per year. This is done through stronger collaboration with stakeholders and innovative precision interlock bricks. These eco-friendly bricks, made from SIG's green cement, have attracted the attention of housing developers and banks as an effective solution for building environmentally friendly homes quickly and efficiently.

During a visit to the SIG Precision Interlock Brick Showroom in Bambu Apus, East Jakarta, on Friday (December 27, 2024), Junaidi Abdillah, the Chairman of the DPP Association of Housing Developers and Settlements of Indonesia (APERSI), praised SIG's innovative bricks for speeding up housing construction to support the 3 million houses program.

"The construction process using SIG's precision interlock bricks is very fast, and the results are excellent. It is also efficient in painting and finishing, requiring only varnish. The surface is smooth, allowing immediate occupancy. This technology should be shared with all developers," said Junaidi Abdillah.

Ari Tri Priyono, the Chairman of the DPP Association of Housing and Settlements for the People (HIMPERRA), described the precision interlock bricks as an outstanding breakthrough from SIG. He noted that the quality of these bricks makes them suitable not only for homes financed through the FLPP (Housing Liquidity Financing Facility) scheme but also for commercial properties.

"The precision and quality are excellent. Therefore, these precision interlock bricks are ideal for supporting the construction of 3 million houses. The work can be completed quickly, in as little as twenty-one days. If the workers are faster, it could even be done in two weeks. This greatly aids the 3 million houses program, especially since it is carried out by SIG, a state-owned enterprise that is committed to supporting national development."

We from the association greatly appreciate and fully support this. We will share this with our members,” said Ari Tri Priyono.

M. Syawali P., the Chairman of the National Association of Home Developers and Marketers (ASPRUMNAS), expressed his happiness about visiting and seeing the precision interlock brick product, which he found to be very practical, effective, and efficient.

“I see that this precision interlock brick has advantages in speed, neatness, and cost efficiency because it requires less labor. I hope that in the future, the quality and safety of these precision interlock bricks continue to improve. The sample house I saw was very nice, smooth, and highly effective,” said M. Syawali P.

Joko Santosa, a representative of developers and CEO of Asatu Corporation, shared his experience in building a national model housing project for low-income communities (MBR) that is environmentally friendly. This project collaborates with the housing ecosystem of the Ministry of PUPR, Kendal local government, Land Bank, BP Tapera, SMF, and BTN, using precision interlock bricks in Kendal, Central Java.

He noted that using precision interlock bricks makes construction costs more efficient, resulting in sturdy structures with an aesthetic appearance, while also keeping indoor air cool both day and night.

“The most important advantage for us is the speed of construction. We can build twice as fast compared to using conventional materials. In terms of cost efficiency, we save about 35% on both materials and labor. Typically, it takes us eight weeks to build one house, but with this method, we can finish in just two weeks,” explained Joko Santosa.
