Asosiasi Emiten Indonesia (AEI) is celebrating its 36th anniversary with the theme "Synergy of Emitters in Building Sustainable Economic Growth." The government aims for an economic growth rate of 7-8% in the coming years, presenting significant challenges for market emitters, including global geopolitical tensions and the threat of a worldwide recession. In this context, collaboration among economic players is essential to create substantial added value for the national economy while maintaining sustainability principles. With 665 members and growing, AEI is optimistic about being a driving force for collaboration among emitters and a strategic partner for policymakers in optimizing economic growth. Throughout 2024, AEI has conducted 33 workshops, training sessions, and educational events attended by over 5,712 participants. Additionally, AEI has expanded strategic collaborations with new partners to enhance the capacity of emitters and professionals involved. AEI also offers consultation services to its members through its Legal and Tax Clinic, which has addressed over 233 inquiries and discussions this year, answered by professionals from various AEI committees. Furthermore, AEI continues to boost the visibility of its member emitters through digital activations, including podcasts like Bincang Emiten, Cari Tau, and Indonesia MoneyVibes, as well as optimizing its social media channels. The highlight of AEI's 36th anniversary celebration includes several key events, such as: 1. Launch of the New AEI Membership Platform As part of its digitalization roadmap, this platform will serve as a one-stop solution for all AEI members to monitor membership activities, administration, and participation in emitter development events like workshops and training. Full implementation of this platform is set to begin in 2025. Signing of Collaboration Agreement with AEI Partners This collaboration aims to enhance the capacity of issuers and improve corporate governance. There are 12 strategic partners involved, including PEFINDO, IDX STI, KNKG, GRI, ACEXI, MVGX, BATS Consulting, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, CORIS, MCorp, SB IPB, and Share Investor. 2. Global Outlook Talkshow This talkshow features three speakers from different backgrounds: the Chief Economist of BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, an economist from INDEF, and the Vice Chairman of South East Asia and Head of Indonesia at Jefferies. The discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities in the global economy ahead, as well as their impact on Indonesian capital market issuers. 3. Listed Co Goes To Campus (LCGTC) Program In early 2025, as part of its 36th anniversary, AEI will launch the LCGTC program at various universities to promote capital market literacy and introduce issuers and their business operations to young investors starting from campus. This program aims to deepen market understanding and aligns with the "Gencarkan" and "Aku Investor Saham" campaigns initiated by OJK and IDX. AEI Chairman Armand Wahyudi Hartono stated, “We believe that strong synergy and collaboration will continue to drive sustainable economic growth in Indonesia. Currently, the number of capital market investors in Indonesia has surpassed 14 million, and as a public company serving as an investment platform for the wider community, issuers have a responsibility to provide deeper knowledge about their companies to enhance financial literacy and improve capital market understanding.” “We thank all member issuers and strategic partners who have supported this 36th anniversary event and contributed to the future development of AEI,” he concluded.
