The Ministry of Industry, in collaboration with the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Government, successfully held the National Movement for Proudly Made in Indonesia (BBI) and Proudly Visiting Indonesia (BBWI) in 2024. The event, themed “Ite Begawe Fest” with the tagline “Kilau Sejuta Karya,” celebrates teamwork and gratitude in the Sasak language.

“Let’s make this movement a culture and a real step towards a more advanced Indonesia, as Proudly Made in Indonesia is our pride,” said Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza during the closing event of the National Movement for Proudly Made in Indonesia Ite Begawe Fest 2024 in Mataram City on Sunday night, December 8.

As part of the support program for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the Gernas BBI and BBWI Ite Begawe Fest 2024, the Ministry of Industry partnered with the NTB Provincial Government, NTB Dekranas, and experts to curate 1,041 SMEs from NTB that registered through e-Smart IKM.

The first curation phase selected 100 SMEs, which were further narrowed down through interviews to 30 chosen SMEs. These 30 BBI SMEs received intensive support from September to November 2024, focusing on business management, branding, and both offline and online marketing.

At the end of the support period, the performance of the 30 BBI SMEs was evaluated to identify five Champion SMEs with the highest revenue growth. The total sales for the 30 BBI SMEs in NTB during the support period reached Rp8.01 billion, both online and offline.

The five Champion SMEs were announced during the Harvesting event, the highlight of the Gernas BBI and BBWI NTB Ite Begawe Fest 2024, held at the NTB Mall, Islamic Center NTB complex.

The five Champion SMEs with the largest revenue increases are Semeleto Indonesia, Riles Lestary, Riana Meilia Lombok NTB Pearls, Sate Rembiga Goyang Lidah, and PT Karya Iwin Insani. IKM Champion has successfully promoted the local wisdom of NTB through cosmetics, jewelry, food, and traditional woven fabrics like songket and tenun.

The Deputy Minister of Industry expressed appreciation for the determination of IKM Champion, which has shown its ability to develop business potential by highlighting NTB's unique products. "I hope the selected IKM Champions will be even more motivated to advance and expand their markets not just at the provincial and national levels, but also to be bold in exporting and setting an example for other IKM, so that the IKM ecosystem in NTB can grow positively and boost the province's economy," said Faisol.

During the Harvesting Gernas BBI and BBWI NTB 2024 event, 30 top IKMs showcased their best products. The displayed items included woven fabrics, crafts, jewelry, food, cosmetics, and herbal products.

In addition to these 30 IKMs, there were 95 other exhibition participants at the Harvesting BBI and BBWI NTB 2024. Over three days, the event featured various activities, such as talent competitions among students, art and music performances, talk shows, sports activities, and a fashion show, all centered around celebrating Indonesia's rich culture.

Reni Yanita, the Director General of Small, Medium, and Miscellaneous Industries (IKMA), revealed that leading up to this main event, the IKMA Directorate has conducted various IKM development activities in NTB from April to December 2024. These activities included socialization and facilitation for TKDN certification, support for intellectual property certification, and assistance with weaving machinery for IKM in Central Lombok.

Additionally, there were training sessions and support for coconut oil commodity tools, workshops to enhance the skills of IKM in ship repair, technical guidance for production and entrepreneurship in coal waste-based brick industries, and support for product diversification for metal IKM centers in NTB.
