The Business Risk and Finance (BRF) expertise group from the School of Business and Management at Bandung Institute of Technology (SBM ITB) successfully held a community service program at SMAN Cimanggung in Sumedang Regency. This program aimed to enhance financial literacy, digital bookkeeping, and promotional skills through digital media among students and the local community, supporting technology-based economic growth and sustainability. The event was led by Dr. Raden Aswin Rahadi, who is the head of the community service team. It also received support from faculty members of the BRF group, including Prof. Sudarso Kaderi Wiryono, DEA, and Deddy Priatmodjo Koesrindartoto, Ph.D., along with the main speaker Atika Irawan, M.Sc., a successful entrepreneur and lecturer at SBM ITB. Training Focus The two-day training covered: 1. Financial Literacy: Participants learned about managing personal and business finances, including strategies to tackle financial challenges. 2. Digital Bookkeeping: Training on using digital technology for transaction recording and bookkeeping, which is crucial for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). 3. Digital Media Promotion: Strategies for effectively using social media to promote local products. Dr. Raden Aswin Rahadi stated that the goal of this activity is to create a direct impact on the community through the application of knowledge and technology. “We hope that through this training, participants will gain practical skills that support financial management and marketing, especially in this digital age,” he said. Faculty Contributions The program involved 13 faculty members from the BRF group at ITB, who provided insights and direct guidance during the literacy activities. Collaboration for Sustainability This program collaborates with the Endah Natural Permaculture Garden, offering training titled "Green Economy and Finance Towards Sustainability and Environmental Balance." The goal of this partnership is to raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability in economic activities. Participant Enthusiasm Students from SMAN Cimanggung showed great enthusiasm during the training. One of the favorite sessions involved hands-on practice in creating social media content to promote local products from Sumedang, along with using digital bookkeeping apps to simplify their financial record-keeping. The event concluded with tree planting as a symbol of commitment to environmental preservation. This program aligns with ITB's vision of making a positive impact on society through the application of knowledge and technology in finance, digital economy, and sustainability.
