M. Arsenio Algifari, a rider from PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), achieved two podium finishes at the National Motocross Grasstrack Championship 2024 in the MX2 class during the third series (November 15-17). After recovering from an injury and missing the previous two series, this Jakarta-based racer showcased his best skills and secured second place in both races held at the Akarmas Sumbing Mountain Circuit in Wonosobo, Central Java. During the qualifying session on Saturday (November 16), Arsenio demonstrated his determination after falling right after the start. He continued with the qualifying session, aiming for the best position, and managed to overtake nine other riders, clocking a best time of 1:27:609 on the eighth lap, allowing him to start from fourth position. In the first and second races on Sunday (November 17), Arsenio, riding a Honda CRF250R, quickly moved into the leading group. The tight competition in the early laps required him to fight hard for a better position. He maintained second place throughout the first race and focused on finishing strong. This AHM-supported rider ultimately crossed the finish line in second place. In the second race, Arsenio again quickly joined the front group. He faced tough competition from other Indonesian motocross riders. By the second lap, he was engaged in a fierce battle with the rider ahead. With a strong desire to reach the podium, he consistently held second place throughout the race and finished in that position. "Even though I just recovered from an injury, I fought hard from the qualifying race to both races. My team and I implemented various strategies for today's races, which paid off well. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way," said Arsenio. General Manager of Marketing Planning & Analysis AHM, Andy Wijaya, praised Arseno's efforts in the National Championship. His determination to conquer the circuit and achieve success can inspire other young Indonesian riders. "The National Motor Cross Championship is an important step for our riders to build strong fighting spirit and showcase their best skills. Arseno demonstrated this by reaching the podium and inspiring young racers to strive for excellence," said Andy. With his two podium finishes, Arseno collected 44 points from the two races he participated in.
